The Rev. Gary Kowalski is the minister of the First Unitarian Universalist Society of Burlington, Vermont, and the author of several books, including Revolutionary Spirits: The Enlightened Faith of America's Founding Fathers (2008), Science and the Search for God (2003), and The Souls of Animals (1991; third ed. 2007).
