The Board of Trustees of the Unitarian Universalist Association (UUA) made two appointments at its February meeting, held via teleconference on Thursday, February 25. It appointed the Rev. Sofia Betancourt to the Appointments Committee, which recruits and recommends candidates for board-appointed committees as well as board appointments to elected committees. The board also appointed Catherine Romano Griffin to the Commission on Appraisal, an independent commission of the UUA that studies and reports on issues of deep importance to the movement, congregations, and the UUA.
