The Rev. Joel Miller is interim senior minister of First Unitarian Church of Rochester, New York. He previously served congregations in Canton and Buffalo, New York, and Corvallis, Oregon. He was minister of the Columbine UU Church in Littleton, Colorado, from 1993 to 2000; his essay about the Columbine High School shootings appeared in the September/October 1999 issue of UU World.
