Maryann (she/her) is a Florida native who has spent a decade working in local newsrooms as a reporter and an editor.
She has spent much of her career telling stories, helping others do so and challenging exclusionary systems that harm people. Most recently, she was the Emerging Audiences Editor at the (Rochester, NY) Democrat & Chronicle, part of the USA TODAY Network. She is fluent in English and Spanish.
