The UUA Board of Trustees will meet this week to discuss filling the vacancy left by the resignation of UUA President Peter Morales, who announced on March 30 he was stepping down effective April 1.

Morales’s resignation, three months before the end of his term, leaves the UUA without a chief executive officer. Delegates to the UUA’s General Assembly in June will elect one of three candidates to serve as president for a six-year term. The board will meet via teleconference on Monday, April 3, and may meet again on Thursday, April 6, to discuss filling the vacancy.

Monday evening’s meeting, at 8:00 EDT, will include approximately thirty minutes in a public session, which observers can watch or listen to starting at 8:30. The board will begin the meeting in executive session at 8:00, and will return to executive session at 9:00 to discuss personnel issues, according to the published agenda.
